Create branding, designing print ads, flyers, a TV advertisement, and package design, which will promote the characteristics of the products and sets it apart from the competition. Voltaren aimed to have a strong appeal to the young, working professional, who wants to get rid of the pain without announcing to the world about the pain. They currently use strong-smelling ointments and creams. Unlike the current cream/gels available in India, Voltaren has no smell and is non-sticky making it ideal for use during office hours.

We conducted competitor analysis, collected data from users, and various other sources to find trends or patterns used to advertise globally. We completed our research and considered the existing nature of the industry. A key strategy was to rope in influential actors as the best people to take the message across the country. The next step in the design process was to organise everything and give a structure to it.
We used a dieline as a placeholder for assisting in the correct layout, sizing, and orientation so that it can be die cut as part of the finishing process. The box also lists essentials facts and product details.
After an in-depth trend analysis, we worked on designs that will stand out among the competition. I created print ad, flyer and package design. The visual elements we used were intended to communicate the properties of the products. I was also part of the crew for the TV Commercial.
We conducted sessions with Novartis for feedback & validation of designs so that they are more closely aligned with customer’s needs and goals. Based on my observations and the users’ feedback, we made iterations. As a result, I was able to improve my designs and finally move towards creating print files for the final artwork.
This project was an eye-opening experience for me. My role in this project is that of a Graphic & Packaging Designer. I completed all activities in the package design project cycle which resulted in the accumulation of a huge amount of knowledge and many new skills. I feel like we have met the goals and needs of my user.
